The song was originally intended to be the opening and title track for her 1982 album Living My Life, but was eventually excluded because its pop nature did not fit the overall reggae sound of the album.
The song was written by Grace Jones while the duo of Chris Blackwell and Alex Sadkin produced the pop song.
